On June 20th 1938, Magda left after a marital fight over Joseph's infidelities, and stayed at a Dresden clinic. She returned to accompany him to the opening of the Künstlerhaus on July 8th - she later claimed to Albert Speer that Joseph had threatened to seek custody of the children if she refused to return. From September 2nd to October 14th, Magda told the children that their father was not allowed to visit. Eventually Hitler intervened, and asked both Magda and Joseph to sign a contract pledging themselves to a year of good behaviour for the sake of their relationship.

Born February 19, 1937, she was commonly called "Hedda". She had insisted, in 1944, that when she grew up she was going to marry SS Adjutant Günter Schwägermann, having been captivated by the fact he had a fake eye.

She was 8 years old at the time of her death.
