Identity Politics are Sickness

Marilyn Wann is one of the key players in the current fat activism movement. With the creation of her magazine Fat!So? in 1993, and the publication of the book of the same name in 1998, she has played a role in trying to convince the public that "fat is beautiful". She is also the Activism Chair of NAAFA, the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance.

You are a human being, obviously, and being overweight is your right, and your ensuing poor health is your responsibility. It is your choice. But there is nothing so reactionary and offensive as telling people what they sexually desire. People can't be attracted to someone of the say gender. People can't be attracted to someone of another race. And now, people can't even be allowed to decide what body shape they find attractive.

Some people find fat attractive. They're fetishists. That's fine. Any fetish is fine, but to demand that an entire society be forced to accept it as 'correct' is inexcusable. People have the right to do things others object to, but others have the right to object to them.

Hi

I think what Marilyn Wann really said is that she is not concerned with you loving her fat, but just asks that you respect fat people as a human beings. Something you have shown yourself incapable of ever doing.

Partners of Fat people are practicing a fetish!
